Terms of service

Last updated 20 August 2026

This is the agreement between you and Sifa. It covers what we provide, what we ask of you, who owns what, and how either of us ends it. Read it alongside the privacy policy, which covers your data specifically.

Who we are and what this is

Sifa is software for creators and businesses to run their social accounts: an audit of how you are doing, drafts written in your voice, a posting calendar, analytics, and a marketplace connecting creators with brands. We operate in Kenya, Brazil and the Philippines.

Sifa is operated by Syllable International Limited, a company registered in Kenya at P.O. Box 14349-00202, Nairobi. Platform review checks that the company behind an app is named and findable, and somebody agreeing to terms is owed the name and address of who they are agreeing with.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind it.

You need to be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.

Your account

Keep your login credentials to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

A creator account and a brand account are separate. A brand workspace is an organization with its own data, its own team and its own billing; joining or creating one does not merge it with your personal creator account, and the two do not see each other’s data.

Connecting social accounts

When you connect an account you authorise us to read what that platform’s permission covers, for the purposes set out in the privacy policy. You must own or be authorised to manage every account you connect.

You also agree to follow the rules of the platforms themselves. We cannot use their APIs on your behalf in ways their terms forbid, and we will not try.

Disconnect whenever you like. Access ends immediately and we delete what we held for that account.

Who owns what

Your content stays yours. Posts, captions, images and video you bring or publish through Sifa belong to you. We take no ownership stake in it.

You grant us only the licence needed to run the product: to store your content, analyse it to produce your audit and voice profile, and publish it where you have told us to. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Drafts we generate are yours too. Anything the AI writes for you is yours to use, edit or discard, with no attribution owed to us.

The software is ours. Sifa, its name, interface and underlying systems remain ours. Using the product does not transfer any of that to you.

What AI drafts are, and are not

Drafts, recommendations, calendars and audit findings are suggestions generated by software. They can be wrong. You are the publisher: check anything before it goes out, especially claims about products, prices, health, money or anyone else.

You remain responsible for disclosure. If a post is a paid partnership, it must be labelled as one under the rules that apply where you and your audience are — we will prompt you, but the obligation is yours.

What you may not do

  • Connect accounts you do not own or manage
  • Use Sifa to harass, defraud, impersonate, or publish unlawful content
  • Buy followers or engagement, or otherwise misrepresent your reach to brands
  • Scrape, resell or redistribute other people’s data from the platform
  • Attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service
  • Take a deal sourced through our marketplace off-platform to avoid commission

Paying for it

There is a free tier. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown on the pricing page and vary by market.

Cancel any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are in, and you keep access until that period ends.

If a price changes we will tell you before it applies to you, and the change never applies retroactively to a period you have already been billed for.

Failed payments are retried. If payment keeps failing the account moves to the free tier rather than being deleted.

Brand deals and commission

When a brand deal is sourced through our marketplace, we charge a commission on it. The rate depends on your plan and is shown before you accept anything. No deal is ever entered on your behalf without your acceptance.

The agreement to produce the work is between the creator and the brand. We provide the contract, hold funds where escrow is available, and make the payout — we are not a party to the work itself, and we do not employ creators.

Escrow is not live yet. Contracts render and payment splits are calculated, but no funds move while the legal review is outstanding. Until it clears, treat marketplace features as preview.

What we promise, and what we do not

We will make a genuine effort to keep the service running and to be honest about what it can measure. Where we cannot compute something, we say so rather than showing a plausible number.

We do not guarantee results. Followers, engagement, reach and income depend on your work, your audience and platform algorithms we do not control. Nothing in the product is a promise of growth or earnings.

The service is provided as-is. We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and platforms can change or withdraw their APIs without notice.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost data — arising from your use of Sifa.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending it

You can close your account whenever you like, from settings or by emailing us. See data deletion for what happens to your data.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is being used unlawfully, or puts other people at risk. Except where the problem is serious or urgent, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put it right.

If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and let you export your data first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will tell you before they take effect rather than quietly editing this page. Continuing to use Sifa after that means you accept the new version.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction — except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which it may.

Talk to us first. Most disputes are faster to resolve by email than by anything else.
